Printing Problems and Solutions

Problem Action

Indicator light is off

when the printer is

turned on.

Check the power connections

from the power supply to the

printer and the AC outlet. See

"Connecting the Power Supply"

in Chapter 1 for more

information.

Check the cable connections

from the host to the printer.

"Connecting the Communication

Cable" in Chapter 1 for more

information.

Make sure the ribbon and supply

are loaded correctly. See

Chapter 2, “Loading A Ribbon,”

and Chapter 3, “Loading

Supplies,” for more information.

Clean the printhead. See

"Cleaning the Printhead" in

Chapter 5 for more information.

Indicator light is

GREEN, but the

printer does not print.

Make sure the supply door is

closed completely.
